A work in Process for all
The AAOCC's tri-fold mission is a bold one:
1. To minister to the excluded; those who cannot practice their faith while openly being authentically themselves. We do this by providing the Sacraments to all who ask and are properly prepared for and disposed toward them, regardless of one's sexual orientation, gender/gender identity, marital status, age, culture, or language.
2. To move certain questions out of the sphere of theory and into the sphere of reality in order to dispel fear, suspicion, and misconceptions. In a word, we exist to demonstrate that a Catholic Church can include a married priesthood; female priests; LGBTQ inclusion; openness to scrutiny; and lay involvement in the future of the church and its leadership--and still be a church that is holy, morally responsible, doctrinally sound, and liturgically conservative.
3. To commit to become a leading force in the education and formation of both lay people and clergy through our seminary, our free courses, our publishing arm (American Old Catholic Publishing), Internet Radio, and other digital/publishing platforms.
One of the ways in which we are fulfilling all 3 of our primary mission goals is to make available, in one place, a massive online research library, with: scripture, prayer books, the writings of the saints, the apocrypha, and more.
Please continue to check back as we progress in this massive undertaking for the sake of the Kingdom of God and of His Christ.
Thank you!
