The AAOCC Day of Discernment is a fully-immersive, online experience that enhances its participants' self-knowledge and understanding of God's calling in their lives. The retreat takes participants through the biblical model of servant leadership, through their own perception of their life's mission, ending in their response and how they can follow their vocation in the AAOCC. Lay people who want to examine their purpose in life may attend the first parts of the retreat and leave before the explanation of the application process in the AAOCC. The AAOCC welcomes women and those in the LGBTQ community to active, ordained ministry.
